History:
The Social Branding Network began as a concept in 2010 as a reason to have a Facebook fanpage on Empire Avenue and experiment with social media. The story goes back to videos of founders William Pitcher (video) and Corey Tyhurst (video) giving making their very first YouTube videos. Originally the Facebook page shared links and articles surrounding social media, advertising, and careers. At the time it was experimentation, but both Bill and Corey knew that this was just the start of things to come.
Fast forward to 2012, and Bill is still hard at work on the Pitcher Group, while Corey is still working away at his day job as a market researcher and exploring the realms of social media in his spare time. One night Corey and his best friend Nick were having a late night brainstorming session, and they were discussing how tough the job market was. They realized that they had both been helping their friends, family, and colleagues supercharge their job searches by asking the right questions and presenting results in a logical way. That was the night the true purpose of the Social Branding Network was found.
